Winter fruit salad
Indulge in the refreshing Winter Fruit Salad bursting with vibrant citrus flavors and seasonal pomegranate crunch. Perfect blend of sweet and tangy!
Ingredients:
- 8 oranges
- 4 grapefruit, preferably pink
- 1 pineapple
- 6 kiwis
- 1 ½ cups pomegranate seeds, optional
Instructions:
- Start by preparing the orange: remove the top and bottom with a sharp knife. Then proceed to slice off the peel and white pith by rotating the orange while cutting from top to bottom. Cut between membranes to release orange segments into a large bowl, collecting the juice. Repeat the same process for the remaining oranges and grapefruit.
- Prepare the pineapple by cutting off the top and bottom, then removing the outer skin in a top-to-bottom motion. Cut the pineapple in half lengthwise, then cut each half into quarters. Remove the core and cut the pineapple into chunks to add to the bowl. Peel and halve the kiwis lengthwise, then slice them and add to the fruit mix. Gently mix the fruit together and refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours.
- Right before serving, you can opt to garnish the fruit salad with pomegranate seeds.
