Warm colors salad

Ingredients:

  • 1 handful red chicory leaves (radicchio), or about 1/2 a small head
  • 2 or 3 ripe tomatoes in different colors
  • 4 to 6 black olives
  • 1 handful fresh basil
  • 2 tablespoons good olive oil
  • salt and pepper

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the chicory by thinly slicing it and placing it in a salad bowl or on a plate. Cut the tomatoes into pieces and arrange them over the chicory. Remove the pits from the olives, chop them if desired, and sprinkle them over the tomatoes. Season lightly with salt and pepper, keeping in mind that the olives are already salty. Drizzle olive oil over the salad. Tear or thinly slice the basil leaves and sprinkle them over the salad. Optionally, you can also add a few drops of your favorite vinegar, but if the tomatoes are flavorful enough, dressing the salad with just olive oil will suffice.
