Tuna macaroni salad
Delicious tuna macaroni salad recipe that combines al dente pasta, flaky tuna, crisp veggies, and a creamy dressing for a delightful taste explosion.
Ingredients:
- 230g whole-wheat elbow macaroni
- 2 (6.7-ounce) jars tuna fillets packed in water, drained
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 cup chopped red bell pepper
- ½ cup thinly sliced scallions, plus more for garnish
- ½ cup plain whole-milk Greek yogurt
- ⅓ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup chopped fresh dill
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground pepper
Instructions:
- Prepare pasta following the instructions on the package, without adding salt. Once cooked, drain the pasta and rinse it with cold water until it cools down. Then, place it in a spacious bowl.
- In a medium-sized bowl, tear the tuna into medium-sized pieces.
- Combine celery, bell pepper, scallions, yogurt, mayonnaise, dill, lemon juice, mustard, salt, and pepper with the pasta; mix thoroughly.
