Delight your taste buds with a refreshing Tiger Fruit Salad bursting with vibrant flavors and juicy fruits. A culinary adventure awaits!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. underripe stone fruit (such as plums, nectarines, or peaches), pears, or mangoes, thinly sliced
- 1 serrano chile, seeds removed if desired, thinly sliced
- 2 Tbsp. unseasoned rice vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- ½ tsp. kosher salt, plus more
- 1 bunch cilantro
- 4 scallions, thinly sliced on a diagonal
- 2 celery stalks, thinly sliced on a diagonal
- 2 tsp. toasted sesame oil
- 1 tsp. low-sodium soy sauce
- Zest of 1 lime
- 2 Tbsp. toasted sesame seeds
- Lime wedges (for serving)
Instructions:
- Gently mix together fruit, chile, vinegar, sugar, and ½ tsp. salt in a medium bowl. Allow the mixture to sit until the fruit absorbs the flavors, around 10 minutes.
- While waiting, bunch up the cilantro and slice it into 2"-long pieces. Put it in a medium bowl along with scallions and celery, then mix everything together.
- Use a fine-mesh sieve to drain the fruit over a small bowl; set the fruit aside. Mix oil, soy sauce, and lime zest into the marinade in the bowl. Whisk the ingredients together. Pour the dressing over the cilantro mix and coat it evenly. Add the reserved fruit and sesame seeds and gently mix everything. Taste the salad and add more salt if necessary.
- Transfer the salad to a serving platter and accompany it with lime wedges.
