The original cobb salad

Discover the delightful medley of crisp lettuce, succulent grilled chicken, creamy avocado, tangy blue cheese, and crispy bacon in this classic cobb salad.

Ingredients:

  • 2 chicken breasts, cooked and finely diced
  • 30g iceberg lettuce, washed and chopped
  • 30g romaine lettuce, washed and chopped
  • 60g tomato, washed and chopped
  • 1/2 avocado, thinly sliced
  • 60g bacon, cooked and finely chopped
  • 60g hard boiled eggs, finely chopped
  • 60g grated Roquefort cheese
  • Original Cobb Salad Dressing to taste, recipe follows
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 cups olive oil
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Put the salad greens in a bowl. Artfully position the rest of the ingredients on top of the greens. Drizzle dressing over the salad right before serving. 
  2. Beat the eggs briskly until the yolks become a light yellow color. Gradually mix in the oil to create a thick mixture. Include the rest of the ingredients and season with salt and pepper.
