Sunny's quick corn and pico salad

Ingredients:
- 4 ears fresh corn, husks removed
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce (I like Cholula here)
- 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- One 15.5-ounce can black beans, rinsed clean in a colander and shaken to dry
- 1 cup prepared pico de gallo (be sure to buy the "dry" kind--no juice or sauce, just chopped veggies)
- Kosher salt
Instructions:
- Cut the corn kernels off the cobs using a knife and transfer them to a spacious bowl. Use the blunt side of the knife or a flat metal spatula to scrape the cobs over a separate bowl to extract the corn milk. Combine hot sauce, lime juice, and cumin with the corn milk and mix well. Pour this mixture over the corn and stir to cover.
- Mix in the black beans, pico de gallo, and a sprinkle of salt with the corn in the bowl. Toss well and serve either chilled or at room temperature.
