Spicy mango salad

Indulge in the exotic flavors of a spicy mango salad bursting with vibrant colors and zesty seasonings. This refreshing dish is a tantalizing blend of sweet and heat.

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce, or more to taste
  • 1 teaspoon sugar 
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt 
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin 
  • Juice of 2 limes 
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped 
  • 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil 
  • 4 mangoes, sliced 
  • 4 Roma tomatoes, halved and sliced 
  • 1 small jicama, peeled and cut into julienne
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced 
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves 
  • 8 leaves fresh basil 
  • 2 avocados, sliced 

Instructions:

  1. Combine the spicy sauce, sugar, salt, cumin, lime juice, and garlic in a small bowl by whisking them together. Incorporate the olive oil into the mixture.
  2. Put the mangoes, tomatoes, jicama, and onion into a big bowl. Pour the prepared dressing over them and mix well. Sprinkle half of the cilantro and basil, mix again. Gently add the avocado. Present with a topping of the remaining cilantro and basil.
