Salmon roe and cucumber salad

Delight your taste buds with this exquisite salmon roe and cucumber salad, bursting with fresh flavors and a delightful texture. A culinary masterpiece!

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup good quality salmon roe
  • 1/2 cucumber, peeled, seeded, and cut into very small dice
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons red onion, very very small dice
  • 1 tablespoon good quality full fat sour cream
  • 1/2 tablespoon milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon zest
  • kosher salt and fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon scallion rings, this is not a garnish

Instructions:

  1. Mix together sour cream, milk, grated outer peel of citrus fruits, a small amount of salt and a couple of twists of freshly ground pepper in a tiny bowl until well blended.
  2. Put in the fish eggs, cucumber and red onion. Blend them together. Allow the salad to rest for 15 minutes to enhance flavor and adjust the taste. Separate the mixture into 4 little bowls, top with some chopped green onions and a twist of freshly crushed black pepper. Present.
