Salami, egg & provolone sandwich
Tasty salad featuring savory salami, hard-boiled eggs, and tangy provolone cheese. Perfect for a quick and delicious meal!
Ingredients:
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 1 whole-wheat crusty roll
- 2 teaspoons olive salad or muffuletta mix
- 1 slice provolone cheese
- ½ ounce sliced salami
Instructions:
- Spray a small nonstick pan with cooking oil and heat it over medium heat. Crack the egg into the pan and cook while moving the pan around to let the egg spread evenly. Cook until the egg is set but slightly runny on top, adjusting the heat if needed to avoid browning, for about 1 to 2 minutes.
- Cut the roll in half and scoop out some of the bread from the center (save the breadcrumbs for later). Spread olive salad (or muffuletta mix) on one half of the roll. Layer cheese, salami, and the prepared omelet on top.
