New caesar-style salad
Indulge in the classic flavors of a Caesar-style salad with crisp romaine lettuce, savory Parmesan cheese, crunchy croutons, and zesty dressing. Bon appétit!
Ingredients:
- 3 1/2-inch thick slices French bread, cubed
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon olive or vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon anchovy paste
- 1 clove Frieda's Elephant Garlic, peeled and finely minced
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 3 cups Limestone lettuce, torn
- 3 cups Romaine lettuce, torn
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
- Prepare a baking sheet by applying a layer of non-stick cooking spray. Spread bread cubes evenly on the baking sheet and bake in an oven preheated to 180 °Cor about 10 to 12 minutes or until they become golden brown and crispy. While the bread is toasting, combine lemon juice, olive or vegetable oil, anchovy paste, giant garlic, and pepper in a small bowl. Once the bread is done, transfer it to a shallow bowl. Drizzle 2 tablespoons of the prepared dressing over the croutons and mix gently to ensure they are evenly coated.
- In a large salad bowl, mix limestone and romaine lettuces together. Add the croutons, remaining dressing, and Parmesan cheese. Toss everything thoroughly to combine well before serving.
