Mozzarella skewers

Delight in the savory flavors of mozzarella skewers! A perfect blend of fresh cheese, juicy tomatoes, and fragrant basil, creating a burst of freshness in every bite.

Ingredients:

  • 450g fresh mozzarella in water, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 24 cherry tomatoes
  • 1 red onion, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 sourdough baguette, cut into 24 (1-inch) pieces

Instructions:

  1. Prepare 10-inch bamboo skewers by soaking them in water for at least 1 hour before grilling.
  2. Mix salad dressing, herb marinade mix, and 1/2 cup of water in a bowl. Keep it aside.
  3. Combine cheese and vegetables in a sealable bag and add the marinade. Seal the bag and let it marinate in the fridge for 1 to 4 hours.
  4. Skewer the ingredients by alternating vegetables, cheese, and bread.
  5. Use some of the remaining marinade mixture to brush the bread, and keep the rest for later use.
  6. Get the grill ready for direct cooking on medium heat. Grease the grilling grates lightly before placing the skewers on the grill. Grill for 2 to 3 minutes on each side, flipping once. The bread should be crispy, and the cheese should be melted. Serve directly from the grill with an extra drizzle of marinade.
