Locally grown heirloom tomato salad with fresh burrata cheese and coppa.

Enjoy a flavorful medley of locally sourced heirloom tomatoes, creamy burrata cheese, and savory coppa. This vibrant salad is bursting with freshness and is perfect for a light and satisfying meal.

Ingredients:

  • 2 big heirloom tomatoes
  • 4-5 fresh basil leaves
  • 8 slices of Applegate Farms salami or coppa or both
  • 170g fresh burrata cheese
  • 3-4 tablespoons balsamic reduction or glaze (I used the brand Roland)
  • 1 pinch Fleur de Sel (or salt if unavailable)

Instructions:

  1. Cut the heirloom tomatoes into slices that are approximately 1/4 inch thick
  2. Prepare the basil leaves by cutting them into thin strips
  3. Drizzle a few rounds of balsamic reduction onto your plates
  4. Arrange a mixture of the sliced heirloom tomatoes and salami/coppa on top of the balsamic reduction
  5. Divide the fresh burrata cheese ball into 4 pieces and place them on your plates on top of the salad.
  6. Drizzle additional balsamic reduction over the salad.
  7. Add a sprinkle of Fleur de Sel (or salt)
  8. Evenly distribute the basil chiffonade on top of the dish
