Kiddie cobb salad
Delightful twist on the classic cobb salad, perfect for little ones! Fresh ingredients, bursts of flavor, and colorful presentation make this a playful culinary experience.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups chopped butter, red leaf, or romaine lettuce
- 1/2 cup chopped tomato or 10 cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 large ripe avocado, cubed
- 2 or 3 slices smoked turkey, coarsely chopped
- 2 hard-boiled eggs, peeled and chopped
- 2 tablespoons crumbled blue cheese (optional)
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
- 4 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
Instructions:
- 1. Split the lettuce evenly into two sizable containers. In each container, layer half of the tomato, avocado, turkey, eggs, and blue cheese (if preferred) on top of the lettuce in rows.
- 2. For the dressing, distribute the soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil evenly between two small containers. Cover with the lids and shake thoroughly.
