Honey-vanilla fruit salad
Indulge in the exquisite flavors of a honey-vanilla fruit salad. A harmonious blend of sweet honey and aromatic vanilla elevates the taste of fresh fruits.
Ingredients:
- 2 navel oranges
- 2 cups small strawberries, trimmed, hulled and halved
- 2 cups green and/or red seedless grapes, halved if large
- 1/4 cup honey
- Half vanilla bean, split lengthwise
Instructions:
- Peel and remove the white pith from the oranges, then cut them into half-moon slices after halving them lengthwise. Make sure to remove any seeds. Place the slices in a large bowl along with the strawberries and grapes.
- In a small saucepan, mix the honey and vanilla bean and warm it over low heat. Stir continuously until the honey becomes warm, smooth, and infused with vanilla beans, which should take about 3 minutes. Remove the vanilla bean, scrape out any remaining seeds, mix them back into the honey, and discard the bean pod. Drizzle the mixture over the fruit and mix well. Let it cool. You can serve it at room temperature or refrigerate it until cold.
