Ham salad

Discover a delectable ham salad recipe that combines savory ham with fresh, crisp vegetables for a sensational culinary experience.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise, plus more if needed
  • 2 tablespoons whole-grain mustard
  • 450g leftover baked ham, cut into 1-inch chunks
  • 1 1/4 cups drained bread-and-butter pickle chips and 1 tablespoon pickle juice, plus more if needed 
  • 2 inner ribs celery, finely chopped, plus 2 tablespoons coarsely chopped leaves from the inner ribs
  • 1/2 small red onion, finely chopped

Instructions:

  1. Combine the mayonnaise and mustard in a spacious bowl by whisking them together. Blend the ham and pickles in a food processor until finely chopped without making a puree. Mix the ham mixture, pickle juice, celery, onions, and celery leaves into the mayonnaise blend, then gently stir everything together. Taste the salad; if it appears dry (it should have a spreadable consistency), incorporate more mayonnaise and/or pickling liquid. Enjoy as it is or use it as a filling for sandwiches.
