Crab salad with serrano and kewpie mayonnaise

Try this fresh and zesty crab salad with a kick of serrano peppers, dressed in a creamy kewpie mayonnaise. A delicious and flavorful combination!

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons Kewpie mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons minced red onion (from 1 onion)
  • 1/2 teaspoon finely grated lime zest, plus 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (from 1 lime)
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh mint
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons minced serrano chile (from 1 stemmed and seeded chile), plus more to taste 
  • Kosher salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 230g fresh Jonah, stone, Dungeness, or other local lump crabmeat, picked over 
  • Toasts, crackers, or endive spears, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Combine mayonnaise, onion, lime zest and juice, cilantro, mint, and chile in a medium bowl. Mix well until all ingredients are blended. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to adjust the taste. Carefully mix in the crabmeat until it is well covered. Adjust the seasoning with more chopped chile, salt, and pepper if needed. Enjoy with toast, crackers, or endive spears.
