Delicious cheesy omelette burgers that will tantalize your taste buds. A flavorful combination of ingredients that will satisfy your cravings.
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp olive or rapeseed oil
- 8 large eggs, beaten
- 200g frozen peas
- 85g mature cheddar, grated
- 4 large burger buns, toasted
- 4 tbsp onion chutney or chilli jam
- handful salad leaves (we used rocket), to serve
- slices of tomato (optional), to serve
- sweet potato wedges (optional), to serve
Instructions:
- Warm up the oil in a frying pan (approximately 20cm wide) and preheat the grill to a high temperature. Season the eggs and place them in the pan along with the peas. Mix quickly, then allow to cook undisturbed for about 8 minutes over low to medium heat until the bottom is cooked and slightly golden. Sprinkle the cheese on top and place it under the grill for 3 minutes until the top is cooked and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- At the same time, spread chutney or chili jam on each side of the burger buns. Cut the omelette into 4 triangular pieces and place them between the buns. Add a handful of salad leaves and a few tomato slices, and if desired, serve with sweet potato wedges.
