Caprese salad with heirloom tomatoes & burrata
Indulge in the vibrant flavors of a classic Caprese salad featuring ripe heirloom tomatoes and creamy burrata cheese. Perfect for a summer fiesta!
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground pepper
- 2 cups baby arugula
- 4 cups sliced heirloom tomatoes
- 110g burrata, sliced
- ½ cup basil chiffonade (see Tip)
- ¼ teaspoon flaky sea salt, such as Maldon
Instructions:
- Blend together oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Mix arugula with 1 tablespoon of the dressing in a separate small bowl.
- Arrange the dressed arugula on a serving plate. Artfully place sliced tomatoes and burrata on top of the arugula. Garnish with basil and sea salt.
