Caesar salad

Indulge in the classic flavors of a Caesar salad. Crispy romaine lettuce, savory Caesar dressing, tangy Parmesan cheese, and crunchy croutons create a delightful symphony of taste.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups baguette cubes (1/2 inch)
  • 2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, plus 1/2 cup Parmigiano-Reggiano shavings (40g), for tossing
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 oil-packed anchovy fillet, drained
  • 1 small garlic clove
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 3 hearts of romaine (about 340g), cut into 1/2-inch pieces

Instructions:

  1. Heat up the oven to 350°. Mix the baguette cubes with olive oil on a baking sheet with edges until they are fully covered. Bake for approximately 8 minutes until they become crispy. Allow them to cool down.
  2. Using a small food processor, blend together mayonnaise, shredded cheese, lemon juice, water, Worcestershire sauce, anchovy, and garlic until the mixture becomes smooth. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Mix lettuce with croutons, dressing, and cheese shavings in a big bowl before serving.
