Buffalo chicken wings
A zesty salad featuring spicy buffalo chicken wings, crisp greens, tangy blue cheese, and cool ranch dressing. A perfect combo of flavors in every bite.
Ingredients:
- 2270g whole chicken wings*
- celery sticks and ranch salad dressing, for serving (optional)
- 1 cup butter, cubed
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 cup louisiana-style hot sauce
- 3/4 teaspoon cayenne
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 3/4 teaspoon celery salt
- oil, for frying
Instructions:
- Slice the chicken wings into 3 parts and remove the wing tips. Use an electric frying pan to warm up 1 inch of oil to reach 190 °C. Cook the wings in the oil, a few at a time, for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until the chicken juices are clear. Place them on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- While the wings cook, heat up the butter in a small saucepan. Mix in the hot sauce and seasonings. Transfer the chicken into a large bowl and pour the sauce over it. Mix well. Dish out onto a serving plate using a slotted spoon. Optionally, serve with celery sticks and ranch dressing.
