Bruschetta with strawberry and tomato salad

Ingredients:
- 1 cup diced ripe strawberries
- 1 cup diced grape tomatoes
- 1 small clove garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons thinly sliced fresh basil
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for brushing
- 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
- Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
- 1 baguette, sliced on the diagonal 1/2 inch thick
Instructions:
- Mix the strawberries, tomatoes, garlic, basil, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper in a medium bowl. Allow it to sit for 30 minutes, occasionally stirring.
