- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Oil, for frying
Instructions:
- Mix ice water, tempura batter mix, and cayenne pepper in a medium bowl until large lumps are no longer visible. The batter will be chunky; keep it aside.
- Combine sour cream, ranch dressing, and hot sauce in a small bowl; set it aside.
- In a saucepan, heat oil to 190 °C.
- Dry olives with paper towels. Coat olives with tempura batter, remove excess batter, and carefully place them in the oil. Avoid crowding the pan. Fry until golden, about 3 to 5 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to remove and place on paper towels to drain. Remove any leftover batter from the oil between batches.
