Delight your taste buds with juicy barbecue turkey burgers paired with refreshing cucumber salad. A perfect balance of flavors for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients:
- 1 medium zucchini, grated (1 ½ cups loosely packed)
- 450g 85% lean ground turkey
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- .50 teaspoon kosher salt
- Canola oil, for grilling
- 4 burger buns, toasted
- Sliced tomatoes, Bibb lettuce, mayonnaise, honey mustard, and pickles, for topping
- Sweet potato chips, for serving
Instructions:
- Lay the zucchini on a dry kitchen towel and press to remove any extra moisture. Combine the squeezed zucchini with turkey, egg, garlic powder, cumin, and salt in a big bowl. Separate the mixture into 4 equal parts and shape them into patties that are 3/4-inch thick.
- Preheat a grill with oil to medium heat or a grill pan with grease over medium-high heat. Place the patties on the grill and cook, turning only once, until a thermometer placed in the center of the patties reads 165 F, about 5 to 6 minutes on each side. Serve on buns with preferred toppings and accompany with chips.
