Bar salad
Delight in the freshness of our Bar Salad, featuring crisp greens, vibrant vegetables, and a zesty dressing. Perfect for a light and flavorful meal.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup celery, rinsed. peeled and cut on the bias
- 1/2 cup carrot, peeled, cut in half and cut on the bias
- 1/2 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded
- 1/4 cup country ham, cut into match sticks
- 1/2 cup Gouda, cut into match sticks
- 1 cup fuji apples, cut into match sticks
- 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon minced shallot
- 1/4 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil or other non flavored oil
- kosher salt and fresh ground pepper
- 1/8 cup flat leaf parsley leaves
Instructions:
- Mix together the celery, carrot, ham, chicken, cheese, and apples in a mixing bowl.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the mustard, vinegar, sugar, shallot, and Worcestershire sauce. Season with a bit of salt and pepper. Slowly pour in the oil while whisking continuously. Continue whisking until the mixture is fully combined and emulsified.
- Add salt and pepper to the salad, then sprinkle parsley on top. Mix everything together with the prepared dressing and serve.
