Apple-orange salad
Delight your taste buds with this refreshing apple-orange salad, bursting with vibrant flavors and a delightful mix of textures. A perfect blend of crisp apples and juicy oranges, tossed in a tangy dressing for a culinary experience like no other.
Ingredients:
- 4 navel oranges
- 4 blood oranges
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 1 1-inch piece ginger, thinly sliced
- 1 green apple, thinly sliced
- 1 red apple, thinly sliced
Instructions:
- Trim the top and bottom parts of the navel and blood oranges. Proceed to remove the peel and the white pith. Cut alongside each membrane using a small knife to separate the segments, allowing them to fall into a bowl. Remove any seeds found. Extract the juice from the membranes into a separate bowl (approximately 1 cup of juice should be obtained).
- Combine the extracted orange juice with honey and ginger in a small saucepan over medium heat. Let it simmer until it thickens into a syrup, which should take around 8 to 10 minutes. Allow the mixture to cool completely and then remove the ginger. Mix the syrup with the prepared oranges and apples.
