Zucchini and Cheese Fritters
Crispy and delicious zucchini and cheese fritters, perfect as a snack or appetizer. Made with fresh zucchini, melted cheese, and a hint of garlic for extra flavor.
Ingredients:
- 2 medium zucchini, grated
- 100g cheese, grated
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- 50g flour
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
- Grate the zucchini and place it in a bowl. Sprinkle salt over the grated zucchini and let it sit for about 10 minutes to draw out excess moisture. After 10 minutes, squeeze out as much moisture as possible from the zucchini.
- In another bowl, combine the grated zucchini, grated cheese, minced garlic, and the egg. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
- Gradually add flour to the mixture and stir until you have a thick but manageable batter. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, drop spoonfuls of the zucchini mixture into the oil, flattening them slightly with the back of the spoon.
- Fry the fritters for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until they become golden brown and crispy. Remove and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve warm as a snack or appetizer with your favorite dipping sauce.
