Veggie Focaccia

A deliciously fluffy and savory bread, Veggie Focaccia is topped with fresh vegetables and aromatic herbs. Perfect for snacking or as a side dish!

Ingredients:

  • 500g flour
  • 300ml water
  • 7g yeast
  • 10g sugar
  • 10g salt
  • 50ml olive oil
  • carrot
  • onion
  • zucchini

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients, mixing until combined.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
  5. Meanwhile, prepare the veggies: grate the carrot, finely chop the onion, and slice the zucchini.
  6. Once risen, punch down the dough and spread it onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Press the veggies into the dough, evenly distributing them over the surface.
  8. Cover the dough again and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  10. Drizzle a little olive oil over the top and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before slicing.
