Vegetable Focaccia

A savory focaccia bread topped with a medley of delicious vegetables, perfect as a side or snack.

Ingredients:

  • 500g flour
  • 300ml water
  • 10g salt
  • 10g sugar
  • 15ml olive oil
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 zucchini
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves garlic

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, water, salt, sugar, and olive oil until a dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  3. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour.
  4. Preheat the oven to 220°C.
  5. Finely chop the carrot, zucchini, onion, and garlic.
  6. Once the dough has risen, spread it out on a baking tray.
  7. Top the dough with the chopped vegetables and drizzle with olive oil.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Remove from oven, let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.
