Vegetable Focaccia

A delicious and flavorful vegetable focaccia made with a variety of fresh vegetables and herbs. Perfect as a side dish or a light snack!

Ingredients:

  • 500g flour
  • 300ml water
  • 7g yeast
  • 10g salt
  • 50ml olive oil
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 1 zucchini, grated
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 50g bell pepper, diced

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt.
  2. Dissolve yeast in warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Mix the yeast mixture into the flour, adding olive oil gradually.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, about 10 minutes.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 220°C.
  7. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and spread it out onto a greased baking sheet.
  8. Top the dough with the grated carrot, zucchini, chopped onion, minced garlic, and diced bell pepper.
  9. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt and herbs if desired.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
