This Vegetable Focaccia is a delightful and easy-to-make bread, infused with the flavors of fresh vegetables like onions, garlic, and herbs.

Ingredients:

  • 500 g flour
  • 300 ml water
  • 10 g salt
  • 7 g yeast
  • 50 ml olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 100 g bell pepper

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, yeast, and salt together.
  2. Gradually add water and olive oil, stirring to combine until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rise for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 220°C.
  6. Finely chop the onion and bell pepper, and mince the garlic.
  7. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and shape it into a rectangle on a baking sheet.
  8. Spread the chopped vegetables across the dough, pressing them in slightly.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown on top.
  10. Remove from the oven, allow to cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.
