Vegetable Focaccia

A delicious and colorful vegetable focaccia made with fresh vegetables and herbs. Perfect as a side or a light meal!

Ingredients:

  • 500g flour
  • 300ml water
  • 10g yeast
  • 10g salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 zucchini
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, yeast, and salt.
  2. Gradually add warm water and olive oil to the dry mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. While the dough is rising, chop the carrot, zucchini, bell pepper, and garlic.
  6. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and spread it into a greased baking tray.
  7. Sprinkle the chopped vegetables on top of the dough and gently press them in.
  8. Cover the tray with a cloth and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat the oven to 220°C (430°F).
  10. Bake the focaccia for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm.
