Vegetable Focaccia

A delicious and flavorful focaccia bread topped with a medley of colorful vegetables, perfect as an appetizer or side dish.

Ingredients:

  • 500g flour
  • 300ml water
  • 7g yeast
  • 10g salt
  • 25ml olive oil
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 zucchini
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves garlic

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, water, yeast, and salt to form a dough.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Place the dough in a bowl, cover and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  4. Preheat the oven to 220°C.
  5. Prepare the vegetables: thinly slice the carrot, zucchini, and onion, and minced the garlic.
  6. Once the dough has risen, stretch it out onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  7. Evenly distribute the sliced vegetables and minced garlic over the dough, pressing them in slightly.
  8. Drizzle some olive oil over the top and sprinkle with salt.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.
