Vegetable Focaccia

A delicious and hearty focaccia bread loaded with fresh vegetables like bell pepper, onion, and zucchini, perfect as a side or a standalone snack.

Ingredients:

  • 500g flour
  • 350ml water
  • 10g sugar
  • 10g salt
  • 7g yeast
  • 50ml olive oil
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 1 zucchini
  • 10g salt (for topping)

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast together.
  2. Add the water and olive oil, and knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
  3. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  4. Preheat the oven to 220°C (430°F).
  5. Roll out the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Slice the bell pepper, onion, and zucchini, and distribute them evenly over the dough.
  7. Sprinkle with salt and press the vegetables lightly into the dough.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing.
