This Vegetable Flour Bread combines the earthiness of carrots and potatoes for a unique twist on traditional bread. Perfect for sandwiches or as a side.

Ingredients:

  • 250g flour
  • 100g grated carrot
  • 100g boiled and mashed potato
  • 5g salt
  • 7g yeast
  • 150ml warm water
  • 10g sugar

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine the flour, grated carrot, mashed potato, salt, yeast, and sugar.
  2. Gradually add warm water to the mixture and knead until a soft dough forms.
  3. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  4. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  5. Once risen, punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf or desired shape.
  6. Place the shaped dough on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  7. Let it rise again for 30 minutes before baking.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
