Vegetable Bread Buns

Delicious and fluffy vegetable bread buns made with a blend of fresh vegetables. Perfect for sandwiches or as a side dish.

Ingredients:

  • 500g flour
  • 200g carrot, grated
  • 100g potato, mashed
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 250ml warm water
  • 50g butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, grated carrot, and mashed potato.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the warm water with instant yeast and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  3. Add the yeast mixture and melted butter to the flour mixture.
  4. Combine all the ingredients and knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  7. Punch down the dough and divide it into equal portions to shape into buns.
  8. Place the buns on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Allow them to rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool before serving.
