Savory Vegetable Focaccia
A delightful and aromatic focaccia bread loaded with fresh vegetables like zucchini, bell pepper, and spinach. Perfect as an appetizer or side dish!
Ingredients:
- 500 g flour
- 300 ml water
- 10 g salt
- 1 packet dry yeast
- 50 ml olive oil
- 150 g zucchini, thinly sliced
- 100 g bell pepper, diced
- 100 g spinach
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt.
- In a small bowl, dissolve the dry yeast in warm water and allow it to activate for about 5 minutes.
- Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the flour, and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm area until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
- Once risen, punch down the dough and spread it onto a greased baking sheet.
- Arrange the sliced zucchini, diced bell pepper, and spinach evenly over the top of the dough, pressing them slightly into the surface.
- Drizzle with a little more olive oil, and sprinkle with sea salt.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.
