Ingredients:

  • 500g flour
  • 10g sugar
  • 15g salt
  • 300ml warm water
  • 10g active dry yeast
  • 200g grated carrot
  • 100g finely chopped onion

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast together.
  2. Add the grated carrot and chopped onion to the dry ingredients and mix well.
  3. Gradually add the warm water to the mixture, stirring until the dough comes together.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat your oven to 200°C.
  7. Punch down the dough after the first rise and shape it into a loaf or round bread shape.
  8. Place the shaped dough on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and let it rise again for about 30 minutes.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  10. Let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.
