Savory Vegetable Bread

A delicious and nutritious bread infused with garden-fresh vegetables, perfect for accompanying soups or enjoyed as a snack.

Ingredients:

  • 500g flour
  • 200g carrot
  • 100g onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 300ml water
  • 7g yeast
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C.
  2. Finely grate the carrot, and chop the onion and garlic finely.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt.
  4. Dissolve the yeast in warm water and add it to the flour mixture.
  5. Stir in the grated carrot, chopped onion, and garlic until a dough forms.
  6. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  7. Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased baking tin.
  8. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  10. Allow to cool before slicing and serving.
