Peanut Butter Salmon Pasta

Peanut Butter Salmon Pasta

This delicious dish combines salmon and pasta with a creamy peanut butter sauce, enhanced by the umami of soy sauce and a touch of sweetness from honey. The lime juice adds a refreshing zing, while green onions and cilantro provide freshness and color. A perfect fusion meal!

Ingredients:

  • 200g pasta (spaghetti or fettuccine)
  • 150g salmon fillet
  • 3 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, season the salmon fillet with salt and pepper.
  3. In a skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add the salmon fillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and flaky. Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes before flaking it into bite-sized pieces.
  4. In a bowl, mix peanut butter, soy sauce, honey, and lime juice until smooth to create the sauce. Adjust the consistency with a little water if necessary.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, flaked salmon, and peanut butter sauce. Toss well to ensure the pasta is evenly coated.
  6. Add chopped green onions and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
  7. Serve warm or at room temperature.
