Ingredients:

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 200g dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa), chopped
  • 4 large egg whites
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Chocolate shavings (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, heat the whole milk and granulated sugar over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is warm but not boiling.
  2. Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the chopped dark chocolate. Let it sit for a minute, then whisk until smooth and all chocolate is melted. Allow to cool slightly.

  6. Evenly distribute the mousse mixture into serving cups or bowls. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until set.
