Cheesy Garlic Potato Bread

Deliciously cheesy garlic potato bread made with simple ingredients. Perfect as a side dish or a snack!

Ingredients:

  • 500g flour
  • 300g potato (mashed)
  • 100g cheese (shredded)
  • 50g butter
  • 10g garlic (minced)
  • 7g sugar
  • 10g salt
  • 20g yeast
  • 250ml water (warm)

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the warm water and sugar, then add the yeast and let it sit for about 10 minutes until bubbly.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the mashed potato, butter, and minced garlic together until smooth.
  3. Add the potato mixture to the yeast mixture and blend well.
  4. Gradually add the flour and salt, kneading the dough until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes.
  5. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  6. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  7. Once risen, punch down the dough and knead in the shredded cheese.
  8. Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased baking pan. Let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serve warm.
