Cheesy Chicken and Potato Bake

A comforting and hearty casserole featuring tender chicken, potatoes, and a cheesy topping.

Ingredients:

  • 500 g chicken breast
  • 800 g potatoes
  • 1 large onion
  • 200 g cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  2. Peel and dice the potatoes into small cubes. Boil them in salted water for about 10 minutes or until they are just tender, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Chop the onion and sauté it until golden brown.
  4. Cut the chicken breast into cubes and add it to the frying pan. Cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. In a large baking dish, combine the boiled potatoes and cooked chicken and onion mixture. Mix well.
  6. Grate the cheese and sprinkle it evenly over the top of the chicken and potato mixture.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy your cheesy chicken and potato bake!
