Ingredients:

  • 200g broccoli, chopped
  • 250g rice
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 200g cheese, grated
  • 500ml milk
  • 30g butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. In a large pot, cook the rice according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  5. Stir in the chopped broccoli and cook for another 3-4 minutes until it starts to soften.
  6. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked rice, sautéed vegetables, milk, and half of the grated cheese. Season with salt and pepper, and mix well.
  7. Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish and spread evenly. Top with the remaining cheese.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve hot.
