Carrot Cake

A moist and flavorful carrot cake that combines the sweetness of carrots and the richness of spices, perfect for dessert lovers.

Ingredients:

  • 200g grated carrots
  • 200g flour
  • 200g sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 100ml sunflower oil
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • optional: walnuts or pecans for topping

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and sunflower oil.
  4. Add the grated carrots to the wet mixture and stir until combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool before serving. Optionally, top with walnuts or pecans.
